Paolo Hospital is one of Thailand’s leading private hospital networks, with over 50 years of service in healthcare. The journey began with Paolo Phaholyothin Hospital, which opened on May 19, 1972, in the Saphan Kwai area of Bangkok. Established to support the country’s overwhelmed public healthcare system, the hospital started as a small medical center and gradually expanded into a full-fledged multidisciplinary hospital known for its modern medical technologies and expert care. Following its success, Paolo Hospital expanded its network to several locations. One of its earliest expansions was Paolo Chokchai 4, which originally opened as “Siam Medical” in 1970 and officially joined the Paolo network in 2004. Known for introducing advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies early on, this branch played a major role in raising the standard of private healthcare in Bangkok’s eastern area. Another key branch is Paolo Samutprakarn, opened in 1993, which focused on community access to healthcare under the concept “Healthcare for All,” aiming to reduce medical inequality in suburban regions. In recent years, Paolo Hospital has continued to innovate and expand, embracing digital transformation through services like TeleCare, the HealthUp mobile app, personalized healthcare programs, and enhanced patient experience. It also collaborates with partner hospitals to offer specialized treatment in areas such as cardiology, oncology, and neurology.
