BDMS is committed to providing quality healthcare for all. Founded in 1984, the Vejdusit Foundation is committed to improving healthcare advancement and access, particularly within underprivileged communities. The Foundation provides treatment and financial support for low-income patients, training for medical personnel, and medical research, as well as support for government agencies on public health projects.
It also adopts patients under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana and provides free treatments, such as the cardiac surgeries for 73 patients to commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibol’s 72nd birthday. Its public health projects and activities include supporting nursing, medical and public health research, as well as donating medical equipment to provincial hospitals.
BDMS’ Green Health Project promotes total wellness based around the five pillars of health: physical health, mental health, medical healthcare, food and nutrition, and the environment. This initiative involves a wide range of activities, from health awareness lectures and free health checks and medication packs for the underprivileged, to tree-planting and green markets.
Green Health Project, a corporate social responsibility campaign to promote the nation’s total well- being based on the five aspects of a healthy and balanced life – physical health, mental health, medical healthcare, food and nutrition, and a sense of environment conservation.
The project is the first ever collaboration for social service of the five brands of private hospitals -- Bangkok Hospital, Samitivej Hospital, BNH Hospital, Phyathai Hospital, and Paolo Memorial Hospital was established in July 2012.
The Green Health centers are located in 26 hospitals locations - act as a health information center, and also serves as the matching center for those wishing to donate medical and healthcare equipment for the needy people - this program called “Green Health Care & Share”.
Green Health Care & Share program created under the banner of Green Health Project to assist the patients, the disabled and the elderly, who are in need of medical equipment and necessary items for their daily life.
Since the launch of the project in JULY 2012 over 500 units of medical equipment such as, oxygen concentrator, patient bed, inflatable bed, wheelchair, suction unit and etc. were sent to the underprivileged in Mae Hongson, Chiangmai, Sukhothai, Chaiyabhum, Lopburi, Nakornratchasima,, Saraburi, Chantaburi, Ubon, Roi Et and etc.
Another program called Green Health @ School has been launched with the Bangkok Hospital Group sponsoring the set-up of “Green Health Room” helping upgrade the existing first-aid room, also provide medicines along with medicine chest and basic health education to teachers for needy schools in the community.
Certain quality medicine supply and equipment have been sponsored to 88 schools by the group’s hospital ; Bangkok Hospital, Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin, Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, Bangkok Hospital Rayong, Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai, Samitivej Hospitals, BNH Hospital. Phyathai and Paolo Memorial Hospitals in provincial area in Ayuttaya, Chonburi, Lopburi, Mae Hongson, Nakornratchasima, Prachuabkireekan, Rayong, Samut Prakarn, Samut Songkram, Songkla, and Sriracha, just to name a few.
