Green Health Project
Green Health Project is a corporate social responsibility campaign to promote the nation’s total well-being based on the aspects of a healthy and balanced life.
The project is the first ever collaboration within the area of social development across all BDMS hospitals brands operating in Thailand. It was established in July 2012.
The Green Health centers are located in 26 hospitals locations. They act as a health information center and serve as the centers for “Green Health Care & Share”, a program for those wishing to donate medical and healthcare equipment to needy people.
The Green Health Care & Share program is also designed to assist disabled and elderly patients who are in need of medical equipment and necessary items for their daily life.
Since the launch of the project in July 2012 over five-hundred units of medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, patient beds, inflatable beds, wheelchairs, suction units etc. were sent to the underprivileged in many provinces, including Mae Hongson, Chiangmai, Sukhothai, Chaiyabhum, Lopburi, Nakornratchasima, Saraburi, Chantaburi, Ubon and Roi Et.
Another program called Green Health @ School has been launched with the Bangkok Hospital Group. The “Green Health Room” initiative helps upgrade existing first-aid rooms at needy schools in the community by providing medicines and basic health education to teachers.
Certain quality medicinal supply and equipment have been provided to 88 schools by the group’s hospitals.
